hoarding & decluttering support
Tidy Home Tidy Mind
In the meantime we are still able to offer our twice monthly support group sessions at Paignton Library; the second Friday of the month, 11-12:30pm in meeting room 11 is our Tidy Home Tidy Mind Coaching Club. If you’re suffering from challenges at home or feeling embarrassed and you don’t know where to start, please do come along as you’d be most welcome. Our second session which takes place on the last Friday of the month (again, 11-12:30pm in meeting room 11) is a general mental health and wellbeing support group where we often bring in additional speakers, local service providers and engage various activity leaders to inspire, motivate and encourage you to raise your level of mental health and wellbeing. Again, all welcome. For more information on either of these two sessions please see our Events page.
Are you struggling with clutter at home?
Are you a secret hoarder?
Would you like to be more organised at home?
Is your home environment affecting your mental wellbeing?
If you answered yes to any of the above questions then we may have the support solution just for you. No matter how big or small you feel your challenge is at home we will do our best to support you in starting to make positive changes for yourself. We offer one day group workshops, individual mental wellbeing and practical coaching support, face to face peer support drop in sessions, a ‘Whatsapp’ message support group and more.
We work collaboratively with other professional support services in Torbay which cover the more practical elements such as refuge collection and handy man services through to emotional support where we can signpost you to more in-depth mental wellbeing and physical care support services. Heart of Torbay is also a Community Safety Partner of Devon Somerset Fire & Rescue and as part of our range of services we can arrange a FREE home safety check for you which will be carried out by one of their very friendly and non-judgemental home safety experts.
refer to our services
You can self-refer to our services by contacting us using the details below. Alternatively we take third-party referrals and this can be through any means such as a current support worker, a local voluntary organisation, through your doctors’ surgery via the Social Prescribers or direct through the fire service. We will have an initial chat with you on the telephone to introduce ourselves and arrange a home visit where you will have the opportunity to explain your current situation, explore the challenges you are currently facing and discuss ways in which you feel you need or would like to be supported. We work with you; at your pace, with your needs and your motivations. We don’t ‘rescue’ you; we will empower, motivate and support you in starting to make positive, long term changes for yourself that can have not just a positive impact on your home environment but on your life as a whole. What are you waiting for?
